This is a placeholder to sing the praises of three of my Ghanaian pals, literary stars and poets – Henneh Kwaku Kyereh, Elizabeth Johnson and Emma Ofosua. At the last Lagos International Poetry Festival, they shone bright, with Henneh and Elizabeth moderating fine sessions while Emma blazed the stage with extempore poems. There was a certain calm to the three of them, something beautiful and deep that words cannot really describe.
One does not always have a million words to say, but I thought it best to mention these ones, who keep trying to make life brighter in their one and many other beautiful ways.
Wherever you are this evening, my dear siblings, I want you to know that life will smile for you. Thank you for being beautiful.
God bless you.
