  1. Aw! These lines entrance though they be deeply saddening and constitute what pretty fantastical expectations and daydreams are made of; they’re simply ethereal and sure to take one’s breaths away…spellbinding!😇😄

The Narrator oughta hold out on hope still! Home’s where the heart is and till home’s found; we’re as rolling stones and drifters; wandering aimlessly! Plus, for as many as are meant to be…. they will be! ‘Que sera, sera’! And as long as what you want wants you right back; then there’s a fighting chance to beat life at its own game and come out tops…victorious!

The author made some crazy magic with this poetic composition, many kudos and thanks for sharing Sagely One! 😁

Mmhmm, so true your words. I felt the longing and want evoked by the poetic persona. sad that we always have to keep searching till we find home…
too many things bother the spirit. We can only pray that time will heal all words and give us life. amen.

  2. I thoroughly love this. Reminds me of 2 songs from my all time favorite Don Williams. Here it goes

Title: I’m still looking for you.
    DON WILLIAMS

    Love comes once they say
    If it’s the real thing
    Me I feel that way
    Knowing you must be there
    Waiting for me somewhere
Some people say that I’m a fool
But I’m still looking for you.

Yes, I guess it’s sad the lovers I’ve been through
    Some I could have had
    But they never were enough
    Nobody measures up
Lovers and friends I’ve had a few
But I’m still looking for you.

    Maybe it’s wrong, I don’t know
    Maybe I’m just chasing rainbows
But its gotta be for ever when I fall
But lately my hopes have been sinking
Lately, I find I’ve been thinking
Maybe you’re not really there at all.

Tears and years go by and I haven’t found it
    Seems the dream should die
    But I hang on somehow
    Still I keep reaching out
With all the loves that I’ve been through
    I’m still looking for you

Now I know there’s someone somewhere in one corner of the country or globe who’s saying something like the second song:

Title : If love gets there before I do

Another twenty miles and I’m halfway there
Another twenty miles and I’m runnin’ scared
It’s a beautiful night and I should be there
But I left you too long goin’ who knows where.

I know you’re tired of waiting and I know you’re tired of hesitating
If love gets there before I do, darling don’t you take it
You know I’m on my way to you as fast as I can make it
There’s danger in the summer moon, don’t think there’s nothing to it
If love gets there before I do, darling, don’t you do it, no don’t you do it.

I know you’re hearing lines from those other guys
Tryin’ to wear you down under starry skies
But you know that I want you to just hold on
What a shame if I get there and you are gone.

If love gets there before I do, darling don’t you take it
You know I’m on my way to you as fast as I can make it
There’s danger in the summer moon, don’t think there’s nothing to it
If love gets there before I do, darling, don’t you do it, no don’t you do it.

    1. What really is love? Does it really stay in a certain way, remaining with us or is it something that gets us worse? Let’s pray that love comes, stays and remains… Else, we perish in this chaos of belief! But oh well, let us perish if we must. We believe.
