The YELF Creative Writing Workshop will consist of intensive creative and editorial workshops that will be organized every year. These workshops will be run by established writers/editors and aim to impart editing and writing skills to carefully and meritoriously selected attendees.
The workshop will alternate yearly in the following stratified genres/fields:
1. Prose (Fiction)
2. Prose (Nonficiton)
5. Translation (Hausa/English Translations)
We expect to work with emerging writers with a sustained writing past but that are yet to publish a full length book at no expense to the participants.
We will only be able to accommodate 10 participants, so applicants are required to submit a maximum of 700 words of their best fiction writing.
Closing date for applications is 14 September 2018. If successful, participants will receive confirmation by 17 September 2018.
To apply send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your email subject should read “YELF Creative Writing Workshop 2018”.
