Dearest,
Hullo! How are you? Sup? Hope you good.
I don’t know where you are at the moment. Are you reading this? I wonder. Well, hopefully…
It hasn’t been too funny juggling things here and there and trying to keep that form. The ink of thoughts seem to be flooding but the problem like I mentioned to you once is in the journey from the head to the hand. What do we do when there are many other things to catch up on. But don’t worry, even if you don’t see too much scribbled from the pot of this ink, there would be more coming in. There would be more teachings elsewhere and hopefully, instructions to others to ensure that we make the world go round.
I have got books and books here that you might want to read too. Too bad I wouldn’t be sending them but for saying sake, reading list – note, not working list of books which has about fifty or so odd books that I have to read, do work on and bla bla bla – include an increasing number of delights. There’s Chimamanda’s Half of a Yellow Sun. You’ve read it? At least you must have heard of it. I know the story, I have worked on it, done interviews, watched full length interviews, heard it and all but I have never completed it despite several tries. Well, I am doing so now. Google it to find a taste. There’s the short story version. Have you read it? What?! Okay, I blogged it sometime back. Click on the link here. We would talk about it later. I only just finished Adaobi Nwaubani’s I do not come to you by chance. It is quite like Chuma Nwokolo’s ‘Diaries of a Dead African’ in some parts. Oh boy! People can write sha o.
Currently I am looking at reading Christopher Rush‘s Will. That book in itself is something else. Fictional autobio of Shakespeare. You can be sure you would catch me there anytime na! Hee hee hee. There’s Carlos Ruiz Zafon‘s The Shadow of the Wind. I have expectations for that as Prof. E. E. Sule told me that the book is one of the greatest novels in the world. I would make my notes and if I have any shortcomings, I would definitely go pay him a visit! And no begging would stop me from what I would do… If however it is as lovely as it is looking – you can tell a good book by taking three glances when you have read many – then, I just might invite him to dinner 🙂
What else? Yes, we just finished the first postings for Reward Nsirim’s Fresh Air and other stories. It includes readings from three stories in the book, ‘Diary of a Troubled Traveller’ and ‘The Testimony’. There’s also the beginning excerpt of ‘Forensic Investigation’ here. Find Fresh Air and other stories on Amazon here. There’s an interview with him that left me laughing. That guy is something else.
Well, there’s much more to say and far more to do but let me not take too much of both our times. I have some reading to do, Aondo’s day to honour, a few meetings here and there, and more reading to do. Wow!
If you don’t hear to much from me, know I am still here and would try to keep touch much as I can.
You have my affection (but of course you know…)
Su’eddie

Looks like you still do what you do best Su’ read and pull folks up 🙂
It’s good to hear you are great! Half of the Yellow sun is awesome, and so is the Breath of fresh air…still working through that one.
There’s so much to read and between trying to write and put a few things in place, 24 hours doesn’t look like it’s enough time for a day.

Nwa nnem, you wouldn’t stop this pulling leg things and all. You still haven’t finished the ‘Fresh Air’ book? Choi! I finished my own sharp sharp. The book was a lovely and breezy read. We all have lots to do and the writing bug is there to contend with….
